This is the cheapest MIDI USB host we have (< 30 euros), making it an excellent option for those on a tight budget or looking for a cost-effective solution to connect their USB MIDI controllers.
You simply plug your USB controller in the MIDI B adapter, using your usual power supply, and plug the 5 pins MIDI IN/OUT dongles in your synth. This MIDI dongle is powered with a small rechargeable battery and will last 6 hours on a single charge.
The wireless Bluetooth connection may be an advantage or not, depending on your setup, and as a bonus, MIDI A can also be connected to an iPad tablet directly. This opens the possibility to use cheap MPE controllers if you already have a tablet.
