Best USB MIDI host solutions for all budgets

Need to use your USB music controller with your hardware synth? Then you need a USB MIDI host, a device that allows you to connect MIDI equipment that uses USB MIDI ports to older MIDI equipment that uses the traditional 5-pin DIN MIDI connectors.

We offer a range of products designed to facilitate the connection of your USB MIDI controller to other equipment and synthesizers. Each of these products boasts unique features and capabilities.

Below, we've organized them in ascending order of cost.

MVAVE MS1: USB host to 5 pin MIDI over Bluetooth

This is the cheapest MIDI USB host we have (< 30 euros), making it an excellent option for those on a tight budget or looking for a cost-effective solution to connect their USB MIDI controllers.

You simply plug your USB controller in the MIDI B adapter, using your usual power supply, and plug the 5 pins MIDI IN/OUT dongles in your synth. This MIDI dongle is powered with a small rechargeable battery and will last 6 hours on a single charge.

The wireless Bluetooth connection may be an advantage or not, depending on your setup, and as a bonus, MIDI A can also be connected to an iPad tablet directly. This opens the possibility to use cheap MPE controllers if you already have a tablet.
